What We Do

Texas Tenants Benefits Services is a professional service dedicated to helping tenants fight illegal evictions. We are trained, educated and experienced paralegals that provide doc prep and legal research for tenants facing evictions in Justice of the Peace or whose appealing an eviction to County Court. 

Our Legal Process

After the client has hired Texas Tenants Benefits Services, we will conduct extensive legal research on all documents involved (i.e. leases, notices, and other evidence) to give us the edge in preparing the documents for filing and to present to the Judge during the eviction trial or appeal. 


We do attend court hearings on behalf of the client's, we provide doc prep and legal research to help the client represent themselves in eviction court.


Texas Property Code Sec. 24.011

Nonlawyer Representation

(a) In eviction suits in justice court for nonpayment of rent or holding over beyond a rental term, the parties may represent themselves or be represented by their authorized agents, who need not be attorneys. In any eviction suit in justice court, an authorized agent requesting or obtaining a default judgment need not be an attorney.

(b) In an appeal of an eviction suit for nonpayment of rent in a county or district court, an owner of a multifamily residential property may be represented by the owners authorized agent, who need not be an attorney, or, if the owner is a corporation or other entity, by an employee, owner, officer, or partner of the entity, who need not be an attorney.
